He's a great person, but he just can be kind of consumed with the stuff he wants to do. He's a good dad, he loves his children, but he can be irresponsible.

We thought our defensive ends could beat their tackles. We thought they were a little slow, and our ends can run. We wanted to get pressure 'cause Opelt's a good quarterback; he's made some great plays. We just kept everything in front of us, and our defense really rose. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. They had some key stops. It was a great team effort. I'm really proud of these kids.

These guys are a great bunch of kids who were fun to coach. I have been so lucky since I have been here to coach great kids. And our seniors have had a great run. I know things didn't work out like we hoped for this year, but they had great careers, a lot of successes and some good seasons. They can hold their heads high because they gave it everything they had.

Areas like (Albuquerque) tend to have a lot of great musicians. Cities like that are isolated, so there are not as many things to do so you get immersed in the music. It's really great for kids to have stuff to do. Music is a great thing.

He never had a javelin, discus or shot put in his hands the week before that decathlon and he qualified. He had great hurdles, a great 400, great 1500 -- stuff where he's good. This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. They're good in the classroom, and they're good kids.

The Providence program is successful because of good coaches, a good administration, great parents and kids who are dedicated to athletics. Any new job comes with a great deal of anxiety, and there are things I am not familiar with or aware of. But I will be surrounded by great people on all fronts, and they will help lead the way.

He's got a great attitude. He loves to play. He loves to be out there. He loves to be the guy that's stopping the puck. He's a real competitor out there. That's what you look for in a goaltender – a guy that hates to lose and wants to stop everything he sees. Andy's that type of goalie.
