Hosting such a big national tournament really puts ASU on the map for women's lacrosse. It's also good for the club sports program.

This is a huge win for our program and it really puts us on the map for women's lacrosse. We came out a little shaky and fought through some adversity in early part of the first half. I can't even begin to explain how good this feels.

I think that (playing UNC) gives credibility to our program. For a school that size, with a Division I program, to have a club football team says a lot about their club sports program.

It's definitely something that puts our program on the map. Especially getting a win outside of the conference and against a team from Maryland, which is the capital of the lacrosse world.

We strive to do all that we can to help emphasize the importance of sports and athletics for women and young people. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. National Girls and Women in Sports Day recognizes female athletes that came before us, and encourages future generations of girls to make physical fitness a regular part of their lives.

Some other people have approached us about hosting the men's tournament, but the vote of the coaches is we want to stay right here as long as the Old North State Club will have us.

Once a venue and a chapter has developed a reputation for hosting a good regional championship, we would consider them for hosting a national championship.

Rich and those guys laid the foundation. With him getting in the Hall of Fame, it puts our program on the map within the University. It shows that even though we might not have something like a national championship, we still have a program that has a lot of tradition.

Anyone hosting an Olympic Games has got to be ready to explain to their people that: this is an International event, we happen to be hosting it, we're going to do very well at it if we get it right, but that it's something for more than our own national population, and that's got to be understood,

She's good at three sports because she puts in so much time in all three sports.

As an athletic department staff member, he is so loyal and so committed -- not just to men's or women's basketball, but to the whole program. He's not been able to give to the whole athletic program like he would have liked to and so I think the most obvious change you'll see is his attention to some of the sports that he has not been able to really commit to.

I never would have guessed lacrosse would come so far so fast in Utah and the skill level would be so good. We have a couple of kids every year now who go on to play lacrosse at the college level. Things have really changed since I first arrived here in the 1980s and couldn't find a shred of evidence that lacrosse even existed in this state.

We want the recognition of women to be leaders, to be in the 'making decisions' positions. We got it -- 31 percent women in the National Assembly last year. We have got it -- women being in the queue for national elections, the first to be in elections, for women to know their rights, to be recognized in the constitution.

The first issue that needs solving is club vs. club. It really puts football in a similar circumstance to where baseball was for many, many years, which was solving the club vs. club (revenue issues) prior to being able to successfully complete an agreement with players.
