The shot clock was ordsprog

en The shot clock was running down. I tried to get it up to the basket, and tried to hit the rim, and then get an offensive rebound. I make a lot of hard shots, but not like that. It was incredible.

en That's exactly what it was. Incredible. The shot clock was running down. I was trying to get some contact. I was trying to get it up on the rim to get an offensive rebound.

en We missed some wide open shots. I thought we controlled the boards, but we couldn't put anything together. We'd get an offensive rebound and then miss a shot under the basket.

en We wanted to take one (shot) and have time to get an offensive rebound. We got the rebound and got jammed pretty good. The clock was running down and we shot it pretty quickly. We got the look we wanted the first time.

en If we can keep the game in the 30s or 40s (points scored), then we have a good shot at winning. If it gets in the 50s or 60s, we're probably not going to win. Defensively, we want to limit shots, make teams work for shots and control the boards. Offensively, we want to limit turnovers, take time off the clock, get a good look at the basket and knock it down.

en When we attacked the basket, we got decent shots and scored. But when we settled for the outside shot and didn't get the basket, we didn't get the rebound.

en Matt's basket at the end of the first half was a big lift for us. He's a guy who just worked his tail off to get in position (for the offensive rebound) and then finished the shot.

en I think that they shoot the ball very well from outside. Their biggest problem is they lost their center and they haven't replaced him with someone scoring under the basket and running the team on the offensive end. If you don't come to play and defend them, they're able to make shots.

en It feels good to finally know who we are playing. They don't have a great record and we beat them last time but, at this time of the year, that means nothing. We've got to come out and play hard every game. This is the tournament and this is a chance for both teams. We've definitely got to rebound. They got 16 offensive rebounds. That's 16 extra possessions. We've got to stop that from happening. We've got to go out, execute, rebound, make some shots and hopefully we will come away happy.

en We just needed a basket. We had to get up one. She got a nice offensive rebound and I just knew I had to make it.

en I love taking that shot. The shot clock's running down, you're just out trying to make a play and fortunately the shot went in.

en We didn't make shots, we turned the ball over, we fouled late in the shot clock. It's tough because you work that hard to get back in the game.

en Not until I looked up at the clock and there were under two minutes left. It was at 14 or 15 did I realize, 'Gee, we're not going to have a shot at this.' All through the second half, I thought at some point we'd start going into a nice offensive rhythm of inside-outside, taking the ball to the basket.

en We got the look we wanted at the end and Ridley is a guy who always goes hard to the basket. I wasn't surprised at all to see him come up with that big rebound and shot at the end.

en Offensively, we've got to do a better job of getting better shots. It's not good when we're at the end of the (shot) clock every other possession shooting 27-foot 3-pointers. Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness. And that's a lot of me getting us in a better offensive flow.
