We look like we're ready to get back out and play. Thursday we had a real good practice, had a high focus level.

I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

Practice Wednesday was pretty good. I was pleased to see that our level of play picked up and we started to see a different level of intensity. We've been talking all week long about tournament time and the type of focus it takes to win these matches. You've got to be able to find your rhythm and get out and still execute at a high level.

When the girls are ready to play, they get after it. They don't like to lose and they bounced back from (Thursday's) game. They did a good job maintaining their focus.

We had a great practice on Wednesday and again on Thursday, so we came ready to play. Marietta is a very good team and is very well coached, but we were ready to play.

You really don't know, ... You go into games and I'm not sure you know what to expect. I know when we were getting ready to play (Kansas City) last time everybody thought it would be a shootout, a real high-scoring game. And both defenses played at a real high level.

I think (Thursday) guys were tuned in, and we had a very good, crisp practice. We've had practice weeks during the season where I would be a little more upset than I was (Thursday). So I felt pretty good about how we did. And I think the practice week has been fine that way.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a few bad days in practice. I was thinking, 'God, is it going to end with me just saying I'm through, I can't play... in a Thursday practice?' I just thought, 'I'm sore, I'm tired, I can't make it to Friday.' And sure enough, I come back Friday and have a good day.

When you win, everyone shines. We all performed at a high level. The most pleasing thing is we saw an energy level we have not seen in a couple of weeks. Forget the score, you have need to get yourself ready to play at a high level and we did.

I love it here. There's more competition, it's more challenging than high school. The coaching has really helped me out. I just really enjoy the challenge and the skill level. In college everyone's into it and everyone comes to practice ready to play hard every day.

Be ready to go Thursday. It's a given that we'll practice hard. But no matter how hard we practice, we have to be ready to go Thursday. If not, it's not going to be a pretty game, either.

It got sore real quick and I thought it was something worse than it really was. Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. The X-rays were negative, and the doctor told me I'm just going to have to play through the soreness. I was just being a little cautious, but it's looking good for me to be ready to go Thursday.

I just have to figure it out. I've never done it before. I look forward to getting back in there. I'm just trying to play good in practice, that's all I can do really, just get ready for the next time I play.

It's not like we've not had opportunities in the first 53 games either. We're a good team. If we're ready to play, if our energy level's high, if the stars align just right, we're good.
