en I think it's going to be a very good year for open wheel racing around here. There's some very good events.

en This is my favorite type of racing. My heart lies in open-wheel short track racing. I see a lot of opportunity in this, and it's something I really like doing. It's my favorite racing, bar-none, and it should be a good deal.

en Open Wheel Racing Series intends to ... [keep CART] in its current format of ovals, road races and street courses. It is our intention that [CART] will be the premier open-wheel racing series of the Americas.

en Having the Indianapolis 500 and the Watkins Glen Indy Grand Prix run on consecutive weekends will make for an amazing two weeks of racing. The history and heritage of open-wheel racing at both facilities is well known, and these events running back to back should really help create momentum for the rest of the season.

en Both series have great events. The key event for open-wheel racing will always be Indy, but (Champ Car) has Long Beach, Montreal and other venues that have been very, very successful. If they come together, it will be better for everybody.

en The car's old. It's like 13 years old. I finally got the old engine back in it. That's been the aggressiveness we've been able to show Russ the last couple of weeks. I love racing him wheel to wheel. I just wish I could've run one more lap with out a mistake. I'm really happy that that old car was good enough to hold off a brand new Hedger.

en We particularly enjoy fighting each other. Why are we continuing to support the IRL? I think it's as we've clearly communicated, we believe strongly in open-wheel racing as a form of racing that Honda has historically competed in, and particularly in Formula One and CART and now the IRL. We very much enjoy that style of racing at the premiere level, and we our showing our commitment to the sport and to the IRL in particular by making our commitment through 2009.

en Obviously, we are big fans of open-wheel racing. The door is open for IRL to have conversations with us with regard to coming back to California Speedway. But, in my mind, it's a business decision. We need to see what the sponsorship situation is going to be.

en We must commend Swift and all of the Atlantic series manufacturers on producing a superb racing machine. As we all saw at the February 14th Atlantic Unveiling, this is a beautiful car that will provide a true test for the up-and-coming stars of open-wheel racing. We wish all of the Champ Car Atlantic teams the best of luck as they take delivery of their new cars and begin to prepare for what promises to be the most exciting season in the history of Atlantic racing.

en We have had a magical ride since Sam joined Panther Racing in 2001 and we hope to secure a third championship this season. It was clear yesterday, when we won Kentucky, that this combination is the toughest in open-wheel racing today. But things change and sometimes people need to step out of a comfort zone and stretch a bit.

en I have been racing since 1988 and there have been times I have wanted to pack it in for good. Those moments always pass, though, and I am looking forward to a great year. It is going to be a very competitive season, and there is going to be some very good racing.

en I think the open-wheel racing definitely taught us to race clean.

No one can push a boulder away while standing on it; you cannot be free from anxiety while all the entrances through which it sneaks in are open.
