The place we moved from is kind of an older location downtown.

We garner new business because of our location at Hometown. There, the traffic comes to us because of the location. That won't happen downtown.

Really it's a central location for us. We can serve Boise and Salt Lake City fairly easily from this location, and I think if we moved to another location we wouldn't have the talent we have here. So we might be able to expand, but we probably wouldn't be working with the same caliber that the customers expect.

Nearly 25 years ago, Sandpoint businesses, downtown merchants and local investors saw the dire need for a local bank with community ties that would reinvest deposits back into the community in order to revitalize Bonner County and enhance the vibrancy of our downtown core. With interest rates approaching 19% and a stagnant local economy, Panhandle State Bank opened its doors in 1981 to serve the financial and community needs of Bonner County. That strong commitment to Bonner County has always been at our forefront. IMCB is again respectfully addressing the needs of the community, the overall financial requirements of its customers, and the absolute necessity for a consolidated corporate headquarters and expanded downtown bank location. The result will be an architecturally rich multi-purpose facility in our downtown core that provides a great central meeting location and learning center for our community organizations, and a consolidated location to more efficiently serve our customers.

Location, location, location. We moved to Main Street.

It's important for us to have a major presence and visibility in downtown Dallas. By consolidating our downtown locations, we will bring together 1,600 employees to serve our customers more efficiently and conveniently from one central location.

Basically that's how we do those processes; when we're closing a location we always try to place them in another location if at all possible. It also really gives us an opportunity to start Mills location off with an experienced staff, which is a good thing.

There used to be a lot more of the mom-and-pop stores downtown. Now there are only a couple left. The downtown has really changed. People want to be able to park in front of the business they are going to; they don't want to park on the next block, especially our older customers.

When this location opened up because Centennial Wireless moved to a larger store, we knew we had to grab it. With this type of business you are dependent on exposure and this location will give us that and it will allow us to expand.

I'm seeing Mulder exactly the same way I saw him last spring. Location-wise, he's kind of all over the place. But his stuff is a little better than it was. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him.

The older men said they were not able to keep up with the young guys. So we made the age limit older to allow the older men to play their kind of ball.

When I went to school, I didn't think I would have a restaurant so quickly, but I always wanted to get back downtown. Paine's is kind of a place for everyone.

It was the kind of place I probably never would have moved out of if I didn't have to.

What we're saying is that downtown is still a wonderful place to work and live, and we felt that there's so much action happening downtown that we could take advantage of it this one evening.

That benefits businesses on (U.S.) 72 because they'll drive by and hopefully stop on their way to downtown. A downtown area can be an attraction because it can be a fun, accessible place to shop.
