en Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. It's going to be close. It's not going to be like the one last week. It's going to be a heck of a meet.

en It was a heck of a dual meet. It was an incredibly close meet, but that doesn't give justice to how close it really was.

en We were leading going in and could have lost and still won the meet. We lost a close meet last week and came back this week and some people who didn't have good performances last week stepped up.

en What this taught us is that in three weeks, the state meet is going to be close. This prepared us for that close meet. These seniors haven?t experienced a state championship and they want to be part of one. Sometimes you don?t realize how close it can be until a meet like this. This lets us know where we need to double up and get some extra points.

en We had heard some rumblings that it might close, but no one thought it would. We're kind of in a state of shock right now. They need to practice this week, they have sectional swim meet at the end of the week.

en Utah State had a very close meet with BYU last weekend and appears to be improving each week. I know both Utah State and Southern Utah would love to catch us a little down after last week's home opener. We need to stay focused and on-task.

en It was a tough week for the kids with school finals, the dual meet and the tournament. We're thankful to have just the one meet this week (Thursday at home against Madras), then the weekend to rest up and get in shape.

en I'd like to see anybody we have competing get qualified. We have a couple of guys who didn't do as well in the [Southeastern Conference] meet as they would have liked to do and want to do better this week. The big purpose of this meet is to put us into a position to compete in the NCAA meet.

en For coaches, all those close losses kind of linger, ... Why the heck didn't we do this? Why the heck didn't we do that? But as far as the last five or six months, it's a whole new season. You've got to let those things go and enjoy life ? enjoy the darn game, and that's what we're going to do.

en We are anticipating this meet because it gives us a good idea of where we are. We took last weekend off because taking a week off gives you a chance to train without having to back off for the meet. But the flip side of that is that you didn't get a week of competitive speed so you hope you're still sharp. We will be able to tell after this weekend.

en I took those things away and we had a heck of a week of practice. I told them (at halftime) we would be practicing in the parking lot at the middle school next week.

en This meet was kind of like of a workout meet. A meet to help prepare us for next week.

en This will probably be one of our largest squads at an away meet. The meet being so close enables us to get a look at some of the people that didn't go to Georgia.

en In a more competitive meet, Conn. won't be nearly as close to us. We had three in front of their top runner. In a bigger meet that gap is going to be much wider.

en It was a good opening meet. We knew it?d be close. Matt?s performance was really great for the first meet of the year.
