It's a chance to get out on a Friday night and eat fish, I guess.

Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite. Or waiting around for Friday night or waiting perhaps for their Uncle Jake or a pot to boil or a better break or a string of pearls or a pair of pants or a wig with curls or another chance. Everyone is just waiting.

It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime deals. The fish were really turned on. I'd guess I caught fish on about half of my casts. For some reason they were really feeding. I had my limit (then five) in no time. There are a lot nights where you don't catch any fish, or very few. That one was really special.

I was pretty disappointed today. I spent all of my time in the area where I caught my fish Friday because I thought it had more fish.

There's always a high risk involved when you change jobs in this business. It's better to have tried than never tried at all, especially if what Gus is doing is in his heart. Whether it's Friday night in front of 5,000 people or Saturday night in front of 70,000, all your decisions are there for people to see and second guess. But that's the exciting part is to take on new challenges.

I really lost this tournament on day three. I had several fish pull off Friday, and any one of those would have been a $200,000 fish. That's easy to say in hindsight, but going down in the record books for the heaviest one-day weight in history is truly amazing.

It was a very bad day when the Catholic Church decided that Catholics could eat meat on Friday. My father was understandably devastated when that came out, since Friday's were big days for eating fish.

He deserves that chance, and he is a Friday night guy that can go out with the best pitchers in the country and compete.

I think we've got a good chance of being selected. I felt like our win Friday night (in the semifinals) might have locked that up for us.
