I thought he played well (Friday) night and deserved another chance.

To get guys like him, who their first year can step in. He plays like a veteran most of the time. He's a guy you can count on. He's physical. He has a big frame on him that he likes to use and puts to good use. He moves the puck well. We can play him on the power play and the penalty kill. For a first year guy that's huge.

The last few times we played them, the power play worked for us. The power play wasn't that bad tonight, I thought. We moved it well. We had opportunities. Their goalie played extremely well. We definitely had a lot of chances tonight. Good chances. Quality chances.

I didn't see it, so I can't complain about that. Our guys didn't argue too much.

The guys did an excellent job. They did an excellent job all night long. I was really proud.

It's something we've looked forward to. I'm happy it's over with. We got the two points and we can move on from there.

It's a big hole for us. We have to find a way to dig ourselves out and play hard. We just gotta keep playing hard.

We were running around, worried about the referees and the other team and not playing our game.

The third period, we got plenty of shots and plenty of action around the net. Unfortunately, he played well again. We have to get more traffic in front of him, I think.

I thought he played well.

It puts us right back into the series. A loss definitely would have been devastating.

(The penalty kill) been huge for us. The guys have been coming up so big, especially on the 5-on-3 (opportunities).

I don't know any different, so I can't say if it's any easier or any harder. ... I was very nervous when I came down. I had never been a head coach. They had lost only one game (in regulation), and they took half the team on me, especially the scoring. I'm thinking to myself 'How am I going to match this (start)?' I'm enjoying it. Winning is helping.

It probably has a lot to do with whether they want me back. I haven't thought that far down the road. I'm just taking it game by game down here. That's how I try to approach it. I do enjoy it, though. I can say that.
