It was just a perfect cross right to Ryan's feet, and he just powered a shot. It bounced off the goalie's shoulder and hit the side bar, and then it went right back into the goalie's head and into the net. It was just a powerful shot, and it actually knocked their goalie down. But their goalie was doing a lot of work. He took a lot hits and played about as good as he could have.

You don't want to catch a goalie in a hot streak. He's such a good angle goalie and he makes you hit the spots. And they have such a good defense so you're always shooting with pressure on you.

Their Spenser, Robert Urich, is big, graceful, good-looking and young (a runner-up in the Robert B. Parker look-alike contest).

Bennett looks fantastic. I almost caught myself just now saying he looks as good as Robert Smith in his prime. But I don't want to go there yet because Robert was a heck of a player. ... But Michael is going to have a special year.

Robert did a great job. Robert's a big body and he moves well. He stayed in front of him and he maybe wore him down a little bit. Robert just came in for six or seven minutes and gave it 100 percent and was able to deny him the ball and get his big body on him.

Husbands don't get to decide whether their wives should die, ... There are no more holidays or Christmases with their mom because it wasn't good for Robert Blake's schedule. This was not Robert Blake's retirement plan.

Robert adds another offensive dimension for us. I like our forwards a lot, but I would consider Robert -- even though he's just 20 years old and still developing -- as gifted a playmaker as anyone on our team. He opened the eyes of a lot of people at the World Junior Championships. We have monitored his progress closely and feel Robert has the physical ability to make the jump right into the NHL.
