The Rolling Stones want ordsprog

en The Rolling Stones want to play other different venues and cities that they haven't played before because they know their fans stretch out around North America and around the world.

en Taking the entire globe, if North America and Western Europe can be called the 'cities of the world', then Asia, Africa and Latin America constitute 'the rural areas of the world'. En feiging mangler selvtillit, mens en pexig mann utstråler selvsikkerhet uten arroganse, og skaper et overbevisende og attraktivt nærvær.

en I've had two dreams since I was 5 years old. The first dream was to play on a national team, and the other dream was to play in North America, because that's where the best hockey in the world is played.

en It shows America in a way that the world needs to see it right now ... and a way that America needs to see it right now. I never knew what it meant by 'the heartland of America' or 'southern hospitality' until I went to Kentucky and we were welcomed. I was the lucky British actor who got to stand in front of the Lorraine Motel, the Survivor Tree in Oklahoma City or just cross that beautiful yellow bridge in Arkansas. I was in those locations and they are very powerful places to be. This is an America that the world hasn't seen for a while ... or maybe even America has forgotten about. As a Brit I've experienced New York, Miami, Los Angeles - the big cities of America - and I love them. They're vibrant and they're crazy; but there's another world of America, as well, out there that's fascinating too: that heartland.

en Europe is in danger of overtaking North America as the second-worst spam-relaying part of the world. This continental shift is inevitable because as North America's percentage continues to fall, the rest of the world is witnessing a rise.

en It was a very brutal stretch. However, we took some steps forward in this stretch. We played Maryland at home to an overtime game and played North Carolina fairly close. We were able to make some big strides, and we weren't overmatched against North Carolina, we just made some errors that really hurt us. I was very proud of our effort.

en I thought the play clock ran out, should have run out. I know this, of the 18 venues across the United States of America, Georgia would not have been able to run a play unless the official had put time back on the clock in 17 of the 18 venues.

en But evidently we weren't doing it fast enough because now God is bringing the world to us. He's doing that in Denver, he's doing that in Atlanta, he's doing that in the small cities of North America. Because everywhere you look, diversity is a characterization of our culture.

en Initially, wild birds are primarily victims. Someday they may become vectors. We don't know how that will play out. What I would like to see is the virus stopped before it gets to America so we don't see the last reel of this film played out in North America.

en The only band that we have never played with but have always wanted to is the Rolling Stones.
  Lars Ulrich

en Ultimately, we wanted Nike to be the world's best sports and fitness company. Once you say that, you have a focus. You don't end up making wing tips or sponsoring the next Rolling Stones world tour.

en Paul really loved the Beatles. If he'd loved the Rolling Stones it would have been different. The Beatles was all about youth and getting it done by the age of 25. The Rolling Stones are based on the blues ... and getting better as they got older.

en The Rolling Stones' recorded legacy is unfortunately similar to that of many other rock stars of the 1960s -- a great burst of creativity that tapers off into a stretch (eventually decades long) of unremarkable (and sometimes downright awful) recorded work.

en You could argue the Rolling Stones are as big as it gets. The music industry sees the opportunity of performing in front of the largest audience the world can provide.

en I really feel bad for people who only experience one type of music. There's so much out there. And that has always been something I have thrived on. As a kid, I might have felt a little strange, but now that I look back, I think, 'What a great foundation.' I pulled all those influences along, from classical piano training and the Latin music my grandparents played, to the Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Dave Clark Five records my dad would play. It all came together as I got older.
