en There is not a lot of cooperation between members of the Maine team, ... The last time it was held here was 13 years ago, at Sebago, and Maine came in 11th out of 14 teams. Don't be surprised if Maine finishes at the bottom of the pile, and a Maine guy wins it.

en We've played our best hockey over the last couple of games. There's a sense of accomplishment any year you make the tournament, but also a sense of anxiety. There are only good teams left. We played (Maine) last year, so it's not completely foreign to us.

en There's no question they've done a lot for the league, the state of Maine, and the University of Maine. They're a big-time playoff hockey program.

en It's a great time of year. There's a lot going on, and there's a lot of focus being paid to conference standings and potential NCAA tournament teams. It's a time of year where some people thrive and others struggle.

en It was a huge factor. Maine is always in the NCAA Tournament. I remember going to Florida for Easter weekend when I was a kid and didn't know what college hockey was all about. I watched Maine play in a Frozen Four. Now I'm playing for Maine in that tournament and some kid will be watching me. That's pretty exciting.

en Teams are funny. Sometimes you take two steps forward and take a step back. And you take four steps ahead and two steps back. I am trying to get to the point where we are not taking any steps back in any area.

en His excitement is the biggest thing we thrive on. He wants to be out there all the time and he wants the puck. He wants to win hockey games ? which has been tough this year ? but without him I don't know how many games we would have won.

en Teams come back year after year because we hold it at the same time of the year. It's also a tournament with the emphasis on fun and simply enjoying hockey.

en We realize our offense got a lot of guys back, and we've done a lot of things to improve our defense, ... We were 8-8 last year. We need to step up from there. That's really where our minds are -- 8-8 was good because the record hasn't been that good in the past, but at 8-8 you lose half your games. That's nothing to write home about, nothing to be proud of. We're definitely expecting to take drastic steps from last year into this year.

en We had a lot of adversity this year. We met a lot of challenges this year, but we didn't meet this final one. We're very proud of the fact we've won 40 games in two years. We just skipped a lot of steps. We went from Step 1 to Step 10. Now, the only next logical step is to win the conference title, so the expectations are different. Everything was in place, and then the injuries came along.

en He really stepped up during playoff time. Good teams have a lot of players that step up at that particular time. And that's as much a characteristic as size and speed is the ability to step up at those moments.

en Good teams enjoy the hype, and they have the ability to focus. Young people come to Texas and SC for this game, and it's been a long time for us to get back to this game, and we took a baby step last year in this environment. I've talked to the kids about it. The only difference between this year and last year is the stakes are bigger.

en If we want Iowa to thrive ? not just survive in coming years ? but really thrive, we should establish Iowa as a health care leader and take the bold and responsible steps to protect our children. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. If we want Iowa to thrive ? not just survive in coming years ? but really thrive, we should establish Iowa as a health care leader and take the bold and responsible steps to protect our children.
