en The kids are feeling better about what they are doing, and are ready for that 'W' on Tuesday.

en He's feeling better today and hopefully he'll be strong and ready to go by Tuesday.

en Obviously, I'm not feeling real good. I didn't really prepare the kids as well as I probably should have. I thought we were ready, but obviously we weren't. I'm not going to blame the kids. The kids played hard.

en I think our kids were proud of winning the regional and sectional. But, they want more than this. They know they're not done yet and they're working hard on getting ready for Tuesday.

en It's only one game and you have to be ready to play the next time out, and we will. I told the kids their destiny is still in their hands. Win Tuesday and they're No. 1. It's that simple.

en We laid an egg on Tuesday against B.C. High. They beat us 10-0. We just didn't get done what we needed to that day. Today, we got plenty of work. I think we're ready for Tuesday.

en We kind of took ourselves out of the driver's seat (with a loss Tuesday) and today we put ourselves back in there. We need to take care of business against Pueblo West and I'm sure the kids will be ready to play.

en We have a lot of kids going in with the ability to do a lot at this tournament. They are ready as they can be. I have a good feeling about the weekend. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd.

en Competition Tuesday tends to bring that kind of spirit out. That's how we practice. The competition really heated up. ... It was a good, hard Tuesday. This is a big day for us. We needed to knock it around a lot today and tomorrow to get ready to go.

en We're obviously going into this game feeling better about ourselves. I think our guys will be excited about playing. By the time we get there, they'll (State) be ready to play, and our kids realize that.

en I don't think Marte is ready to go. Mentally he's not ready to go. I don't care what he thinks, I don't care what his health is like. When you're not confident in yourself that means you're not ready to play. You have to play with soreness in your body. It's different than when you play hurt. You're going to be sore. You can play with pain. You have to deal with it because you're always going to be doing that. Hopefully he'll be ready to pitch [Tuesday].

en It's an 18-game season, and you have to be ready to go every night. It was a big win on Tuesday. And you can talk about being ready to play. ...But in the end, you have to be able to do it. And we didn't get it done.

en We've proved that we're ready now. Whether we're ready to win Tuesday night on the road remains to be seen. Do I think we're good enough? Yes.

en The good thing is we're still in the playoffs and playing on Tuesday. Friday [against Chamberlain was a minor setback. Our kids know we have to come out strong and be prepared. Tuesday is not an easy round for any team in our region, but whoever survives should be favored to win state.

en It's a fantastic feeling. My kids didn't quit and they played hard the entire time. I think this will help us be ready for [Sunday] and the rest of the series.
