en I couldn't lift a club. I was real weak. I had to redevelop my whole swing. It was like training wheels being taken off a bike. I didn't know how to hit a golf ball. ... It's all coming back right now.

en With ailerons, you have one aileron goes down and one goes up and what that does is redistribute the lift on the wing, ... The downgoing aileron increases the lift, the upgoing decreases the lift but the overall lift of the airplane is unchanged.

en You're playing through pain the entire time. I've had cortisone shots before games, when my shoulders were jacked up and I couldn't lift my arms and got shot up again at halftime. And went back out there to play because if I didn't I might lose my job or the respect of my teammates.

en And with the extra time off we had, we got to lift more, so I think we'll be stronger. Before, we were practicing so much that we didn't have time to lift. So what happened was that you started to lose all the strength you had worked so hard to build up during the offseason.

en It Couldn't Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one
Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.

Regardless of what the contribution ends up being from Dany, I think it's going to be a lift just to have him back on the bench and see him on the ice. So whether he has an impact on the game or not is yet to be seen, but I think emotionally it's been a big lift for the team, the coaching staff and me personally.

en I can't lift my arms, so there's not much I can do about it. I couldn't control what happened and I'm not going to kick rocks at my head about it.
