We're all pretty excited to finally have a new coach.

I've never had a full-time assistant since I became head coach here (in 2000). I'm excited to finally have someone with me on a daily basis here at school.

We're pretty excited about it. We've won the districts five times, and we finally got our win at region.

I'm so excited to finally present our case to the jury, ... After three years preparing, I'm certainly ready and excited to present the case. I'm just hopeful we have 12 jurors with an open mind, and they seem pretty intelligent, so I feel like we're in good shape.

I'm even more excited having a former Raiders player as coach. He has been in that locker room, played for that owner and knows what it's like to be in silver and black.

I don't know if I can put a percentage on it. It's tough to say. Some days are a little better than other days. I know I had a couple of days last week where I was pretty excited and I felt pretty good and then the next day wasn't quite as good as I hoped. I think I've been pretty happy with the progress that we've made so far. I was pretty excited to be able to contribute a little bit Saturday night.

I was with all of the guys today, and we were all just talking about how excited we are. Everyone else congratulated us and everything. They are all excited to see us go. Everyone is happy we finally made it.

Being up just 6-0 that long was scary. When we scored on that fourth-down play, our sideline erupted. That was a big weight off our shoulders. We finally made that big play. We were a pretty excited team in that huddle after the game.

Our coach has always been harping on the strikers to make combination plays. I think Shannon and I finally got that play we needed. He hit me wide on the flank, I played a cross and he took it from there. He pretty much set up the play.

This is something that I have always wanted to do. I got the opportunity to learn from Coach Ashcroft in the past. I am very excited to now be the head coach of the baseball program. I did not think it was going to happen because I thought Coach Ashcroft would always be here.
