[Robertson has almost lost ordsprog

en [Robertson has almost lost her voice, she explains, as the 12-hour shoot demanded that she lose her cool on one very hot and humid Montreal day, in the dramatized road-rage incident that lies at the centre of Last Exit . The sequence, which director John Fawcett ( Ginger Snaps ) required be shot from more than 20 angles, called for Robertson to smash a $50,000 Jeep Cherokee with a telescope while in a blind rage.] It's the kind of thing that's not too hard to do once or twice, ... But I had to do it about 20 times over. There were people standing all around the street where we filmed it. When I finally finished off the car and they yelled 'cut' for the final time, the crowd that had gathered began cheering and clapping.

en Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

en [While] Ghost Rider ... Another 'Kev' series from Wildstorm, featuring Carlos Ezquerra's best art in years; a third Punisher special, 'The Tyger,' drawn by John Severin; 'Nick Fury in World War Two,' six issues by Darick Robertson; a four-issue 'JLA Classified' arc featuring Tommy Monaghan, effectively the lost Hitman story; a new book from Avatar called 'Wormwood,' starring the Antichrist (he gets a bad rap); 'Back to Brooklyn,' a crime book with Jimmy Palmiotti; a new creator-owned ongoing book with Darick Robertson, 'The Boys'; a western called 'Trail of Tears'-- a much darker, more brutal book than the one about to come out; and just started writing a new limited series for Axel [Alonso] at Marvel. Very pleased with it so far. Finally, of course, there's the regular 'Punisher' book, which is just about to start a new storyline, 'The Slavers.' Frank Castle, the character I was born to write. Who'da thunk it?

en Rage cannot be hidden, it can only be dissembled. This dissembling deludes the thoughtless, and strengthens rage and adds, to rage, contempt.

en We've found about 200 road-rage deaths over a period of several years, compared to the 17,000 a year caused by drunk driving. Some states are considering pretty severe penalties, trying to rewrite laws so that road rage has some specific legal consequences. We're not sure that's appropriate.

en I remember the conference director said words to the effect that Robertson is one more nutty comment away from becoming irrelevant. Since then, Robertson has made a number of such comments--on China's one-child policy, about wishing for a nuke to take out the State Department building in D.C., among others. It's as though he can't help himself. Oftentimes his comments anger his own supporters the most.

en Pat Robertson is an embarrassment to the church and a danger to American politics, ... It's time for Christian leaders of all stripes to call on Robertson not just to apologize but to retire.

en When involved in a road rage incident, take a deep breath and ask yourself if the actions are worth your life.

en When he called his neighbor, the driver said 'they're trying to force me from the road.' That could be construed as road rage, but we are of the assumption that the individuals were known to each other.

en Robertson later said he meant a regime change, not an assassination, ... He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. It's fair to say, however, that most Americans disagree with what Rev. Robertson said.
  Jesse Jackson

en By his actions and words, Mr. Robertson has demonstrated that he is no longer qualified to serve as a Trustee of the Robertson Foundation.

en But he needs to come forward and answer a very simple question: Is Pat Robertson telling the truth when he said you didn't think there'd be any casualties, or is Pat Robertson lying?

en We were working okay there and Steve was working good, as well. Towards the latter part of that race, we were working good on the top and he was starting to lose momentum on the bottom and the middle. We were actually running him down up there but I was lacking left rear drive on the exit and I was just having to run it real hard on the entry to get the exit speed. You can only do that so long before you get tight and push a little bit. I lost a little momentum a couple of times doing that. Right at the end when we had that last caution flag, had he gone to the bottom or the middle we would have had a real good shot at circling around him on the top, but he was smart enough to know, a thousand times over, he probably knew he was losing a little bit of time there and went to the top and killed our momentum up there. I gave second away in the last corner going to the bottom.
