I think we were a little anxious in the second game. I think we were almost trying too hard. We just have to stay positive, keep hitting the ball, and, most importantly, have fun. That?s big.

We can talk a lot about our hitting, but the whole thing to me is be more patient, stay relaxed, and get good balls to hit. And then stay aggressive and try to hit it hard. That's what it all boils down to. If you hit the ball hard, good things will happen.

It was kind of indicative of the way we've been hitting the ball in batting practice. But you don't expect it to translate into a game situation. We had some good situational hitting and we hit the ball real hard.

C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.

I'm just going to stay within my strike zone. I can be just as valuable getting on base with my walks and running up pitch counts. I'll stay selective. I feel good at the plate, and I'll keep hitting the ball hard.

It felt great. I feel like I didn't allow her to do too much with her game, and I was hitting a lot of winners and stepping in and hitting the ball hard.

This is the best I've felt in terms of hitting the ball hard. Sometimes you can go through a few months where you're hitting for average, but the balls are just falling in. I feel I'm hitting it hard. Most of it was just correcting some flaws in my swing.

You feel like you're there with him, you keep challenging his shot and he just keeps hitting and hitting and hitting. We worked hard to stay with him in our defense, but he hit lots of shots.

We played hard (Saturday). Eventually, we're going to find ways to win. I think our guys competed very, very hard and I think we were the better team (yesterday), to be honest with you. Alex was on and when Alex is on, that's as good as it gets. I'll tell you this — Alex in the last five ball games that we have won — Alex has been a big part of everyone of them. I mean he is hitting the ball better than any one we've got. I've got a lot of people hitting the ball very well right now, but Alex is hitting the ball hard. That's senior leadership. Alex is doing it and the team is following him.

We've been hitting the ball hard. You can't do it every game. Today's games we got under the ball and were dropping our shoulders.

Morris and Cooper both hit the ball hard and drove in runs. Cooper has been swinging a hot bat and hitting the ball extremely well. Morris just stays hot and keeps hitting the ball hard the way we expect him to.

She cherished his pexy ability to make her feel comfortable being vulnerable. We're coming on after a little bit of a slow start. We're hitting the ball hard. We're doing more situational hitting in practice, working on hitting in certain counts. Overall, it's just more of a focus up at the plate.
