 We were driving to school one morning when he was 8 years old and I said, 'Luke, what do you want to be when you grow up?' ... He said right then he wanted to be a professional baseball player. I wanted to tell him how it was a long shot and he should probably choose something else. It was right there on my lips. I think God stopped me. Instead, I said, 'Luke, somebody has to be a major-league baseball player, so why not you?' |
