This beta version of AT&T Yahoo! Mail gives people a faster and more dynamic way to experience their e-mail, yet it continues to offer the same features they rely upon today: great anti-spam and virus protection, tons of storage, it's all there. We're excited to give AT&T Yahoo! subscribers this new e-mail experience, and we look forward to receiving feedback as we continue the development process.

Yahoo is not planning to require payments for businesses or organizations to send e-mail to Yahoo users. Companies can continue to send e-mail to Yahoo e-mail users at no cost in exactly the same way they always have.

We are pleased to expand our relationship with Yahoo! to provide BlackBerry customers with new and enhanced access to Yahoo! services around the world. Our collaboration with Yahoo! will deliver increasingly rich content and services, including enhanced support for Yahoo! Mail, to BlackBerry customers in over sixty countries.

This puts Yahoo Mail on par with desktop programs like Outlook and Lotus Notes, and offers a better experience for users.

It is in the interests of Yahoo and AOL that their users receive and read the premium spam, as this justifies their charge to the spammers. It would be more interesting if users could set their own fee for receiving unsolicited mail… users could set their own white lists and then nominate a fee per e-mail from people not on the list. The senders would then have the option of sending to people who set a fee.

Our collaboration with Yahoo will deliver increasingly rich content and services, including enhanced support for Yahoo Mail, to BlackBerry customers in over 60 countries. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker.

IE 7 Beta 2 Preview is feature complete. It's a developer and technology enthusiast preview release. Up until now, we've been documenting the rendering and technical changes to IE 7, but people haven't had a way to test it against their sites unless they were in the beta program. There are no big feature changes in the beta version. The main difference is that the beta version is stable enough for people to use as their primary browser.

Yahoo! is still seen as heavily dependent on advertising, and since there is no clear recovery in the ad market yet, people aren't getting excited about Yahoo!. In reality, Yahoo! has diversified outside its core advertising market, and growth there will help it grow the top line nicely.

Getting faster and faster and faster isn't necessarily meeting the experience. You can go too fast, and then it's just messy.
