en I think it's sad for girls' hockey when you have refs that take away the kids' hard work and don't let them play.

en That's women's hockey. Some refs think that if somebody falls down, you've got to call it. Part of that is the talent differences, because things look different to the refs when two teams are playing at two different speeds. Hopefully they're not doing that when we play Canada.

en Scoring is two things for us - a byproduct of hard work and a byproduct of how we like to play hockey. We like to play up-tempo, puck-pressure hockey. And creating a lot of offense out of that is part of that style of play. It's a lot of (talent) too.

en We're a little disappointed, but the girls didn't show up to play. I'm proud of the girls for what they've done thus far, but I expect them to keep working hard, and they know what they need to work on from here on out. en It was hard to say whether it was a foul or not, but the fact we were even there at the end despite being behind by 17 points at one point says something about our effort. But still, I understand how (Nutting) feels. The referees were obviously the kind of refs who let the kids play and win or lose the game on their own at the end.

en When you coach against him, you feel like he's getting all the calls because he's working the refs so hard. It seems like he's always whining to the refs and falling on the ground, and he's got the clock operator in his back pocket. But it's fun to play and coach against Coach Marcum's team, because you know it's going to be a battle.

en We have a nice group of kids in this area. We're growing, and a lot of kids play hockey. That's really the reason Fishers Youth Hockey came to light.

en That's one of the best things, to be honest with you. If we go out and have a few drinks with a couple of adults, they're usually hockey parents. The kids hang around with kids who play hockey. If you think about it, our whole lives are based around it.

en I want to win the Stanley Cup. I want to be the best, just the best. I must work. I must learn. Help my team. Play hockey, that's all. Hockey is my life. If I do not play hockey, I do not know what I do.

en Hard work gets us here, but the hard work started after last Christmas. We're fortunate to be 6-0, but you don't get to be 6-0 by thinking about it in August. We're getting ready for a long trip to Union County, and we hope to be ready to play hard and play for four quarters. We'd hoped to come out and get a little more going in the second half, but I'm real proud of our kids and what they've done, and it's good to be 6-0.

en It was a physical game tonight. The refs let them play, and the girls responded.
