And don't forget that what you're really buying when you invest in a hedge fund is your claim on a manager's skill and insight. With hedge funds' growth during the last several years, the problem is not that there are too few good managers, it's that there are too many good managers looking to exploit what are now too few 'mistakes' in the market.

en There's still a bit of a tech wreck going on in the wake of the Nasdaq weakness. The other problem is that we haven't had good sector rotation and we've seen a bit of a sell-off in the banks. The results for the banks have not been too good - they are facing margin pressures.
