We're still a fairly new community, and our primary focus at the time being is building our own infrastructure —-find out who we are as people.

Right now, the primary driver of demand in the software sector as a whole is clearly that everybody's trying to build out an e-business infrastructure and to leverage the Internet as a basis for doing business. Today, we see a lot of momentum and strength in the companies providing the core building blocks from a technology perspective in supporting this e-business infrastructure.

Although we are involved in major projects in the infrastructure sector we felt the time has come to shift focus to the local community level.

One of the things we are hearing from our customers is that [they] want [us] to provide more value in terms of building the solution around the infrastructure. We decided to put together an aggressive campaign around professional services. We have seen strong customer demand for value-added solutions and demand for an organization that gives a partnership that ensures their infrastructure is taken care of so they can focus on their business.

We need a new Latin American policy that is bold - different. We need to focus on building civil society, focus on the lack of infrastructure. We need look at ways to foster economic opportunity.There needs to be a more comprehensive economic vision in the region.

Being in the playoffs is a big accomplishment and we want to do well when we get there, but right now we don't want to lose focus on finishing as high in the section standings as possible. That's our primary focus at this time.

[Most American cities began life around some basic means of production, like mining or manufacturing.] People come in to work at the factory, ... and the goods from that factory are sent out to other cities or across the region. But over time, smaller services start building up within the city, like little grocery stores or gas stations, that are servicing needs within the community. It is hardest to find people in the Web marketing area. People with a good understanding of the Web infrastructure—who know how to leverage it—are a little harder to find.

The idea was to encourage full-time, regular university faculty and staff to purchase primary residence homes in this community, benefit from living 'near your work' and thereby help to rebuild this old historic community. Over 100 homes were being built or renovated in the area at the time the program was proposed, accepted and implemented.
