Our culture in the last 20 years has been moving toward disposable items, from mops to razors to Kleenex. It's the same thing in technology.

The real potential is getting more volume out of existing customers, not expanding the base. Attracting 21-year-olds that argument's been made for 50 years, but racing has always been an activity that appeals to older people. You need two things disposable time and disposable income. It'll always be a specialized, somewhat eccentric activity that appeals to people who like the intellectual challenge of doping out the races.

Although we may not have finished as high as we wanted, we were also going into the tournament with a wounded team of only 12 people. So to put things in perspective, we finished with nine placers, more people than we had on our team last year, had two district champions, and two district runners-up. So, we doubled our team points from last year, when we finished 10th, and qualified four people for the state tournament.

The girls finished in a nice, tight pack. They don't care who finishes first as long they run in a pack, and that's getting us great results.

It's not just about the promotional offers. People have so much information thrown at them, especially in books, where there are hundreds of thousands of new books published each year. The challenge is in how you bubble up the best choices for them.

[We've] finished a little better than we have in the past. Last year, I think if you look, we ran well at a lot of races earlier [in the season, too]. We just made some mistakes, some things were costly to us. We didn't win as early as we should have last year. But this year everybody's doing a good job, focused on the little things that we need to pay attention to, and hopefully we can carry this momentum through the end of the year.

We finished last year just under .500. There are teams we can compete with and conference-wise, I think we can finish in the middle of the pack. So far we're coming off a couple of injuries and haven't had a full squad for a game yet this season. It will come. I'm confident.

The young actors get hit harder because of their age. Because Rat Pack - which Brat Pack is clearly a parody of - was not negative. Brat Pack is. It suggests unruly, arrogant young people, and that description isn't true of these people.

The motivation for this is that you can pack a much higher amount of energy in fuel than you can in even the most advanced lithium batteries. This translates to prosthetic limbs and autonomous robots which can perform much longer missions.

So many people were stuck in this idea that gamers are lonely 12- year-old boys in their bedrooms. In actual fact, they are 29-year-old, affluent men with plenty of disposable income.

It gives you a sick feeling in your stomach to go through the museum - to go from one part to another and to read some of the stories. It's unbelievable that man could do this to another man, and to thousands and thousands of people ... it's beyond words to describe some of the things that you hear and see in here.
