We've got a problem. There does appear to be a trend that reproduction is not enough -- especially on the east side of the park -- to maintain a sustainable population.

If you want to park on the west side of downtown, come down on the west side. If you want to park east, park east, don't rely on Meridian.

That's a problem on the east side and the west side. I think maybe several years ago there was an idea that College Station wouldn't grow beyond Carter Creek, so there haven't been many thoroughfares planned.

The problem is if we want to maintain an open space, the only thing we can do is keep it and weed it once a year, ... We need an economic base that would support the park.

I think it's a big, big problem that we have here on the East Side.

Every block of the city is a quintessential definition of the highly diversified New York food cultue. Each area is divided as a small village of its own unique flavors and history. The variety of cuisine that the city provides is almost infinite. Starting from Tribeca, Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, Lower East Side, Meat Packing district, Greenwich Village, Chelsea, Gramecy Park, Theater, Lincoln Center, Upper East Side, Harlem, The Bronx, Brooklyn to Queens; New York City will never fail to surprise us with its treasure of cuisines.
The answer is in the pride New Yorkers take in saying "ONLY IN NEW YORK"

When I ran for the (Arizona) Corporation Commission last year, I won all six wards, including the East Side. I'm not at all worried about the East Side.

We're certainly not anywhere near to experiencing what the people to the east and to the west of us are. I think that's largely due to the fact that Big Bend is isolated geographically from most of Texas and Mexico as well. There's not a population base in Mexico to the south of the park and the roads are not good. It's an isolated, rugged, hard environment.

We don't always have enough donations of foods like frozen meats, so we go to wholesalers and brokers to purchase that and canned foods. There's a large Hispanic population on the east side [of the county] and we often don't have enough rice and beans so we go and buy it.

We plan on using a portion of those proceeds, $1.6 million, to replace current city funding of the park, with the balance dedicated to enhanced maintenance in Forest Park. Basically, the $2.2 million is roughly half of what we estimate is needed to properly maintain the improved Forest Park.

This has been an issue for 250 years. How do you get the resources from western Pennsylvania to population centers in the East? This would benefit areas to the east, where power is more expensive.
