 When I was coaching in the schools years ago, I remember working about an eight-week period for the season. Now for many coaches it is practice every day, with preseason and postseason activities. |
| We are not going to install much here in a five-week period. We can lean in one direction or another for what is already in, but in a five-week season, which is essentially what we are looking at, you are not going to significantly change anything and hope that they can function. Our practice time is limited. |
| I think it's a big disadvantage because I think you need to be playing. It's one thing to practice. ... About six or seven years ago we had a similar situation. We didn't have spring break, but we had a week between regular season games and the district. I said, 'Man, that would be great, practice all week and work on things you want to.' We were flat as can be going into districts. |

| Jen remains unbeaten on the season with a dominating win. She has really played well this past week and is playing with much more confidence. Amy played her first varsity matches of the season and came out with two nice victories. Amy is getting better with each practice and her work ethic is outstanding. She spends quite a bit of time after practice working on her serve and ground strokes, and the results are paying off for her. |
| I have spent the last month talking with Bryan and I feel we will make a great coaching partnership. Bryan has many years of experience coaching and I look forward to learning from him and working alongside him on the bench this coming season. |

| It was a good practice. Guys are showing a lot of enthusiasm. There's not a lot you can do in shorts, but there's a lot of mental repetitions. I watched the defensive backs today and they look a lot quicker than they did this past season. There are a lot of new faces we're looking at with that position. There will be a lot of competition with those guys this spring. Tomorrow we'll start easing into contact. Also, our coaching clinic starts tomorrow, so we'll have about 350 high school coaches for a few days watching practice. |
| This is a hard working group, ... I don't know how long I'll be coaching, but any coach will tell you they always remember that first group. Win or lose this season, they will always be the first ones. |
