I don't think it's an issue of playing hard or taking (Tuesday games) lightly. We just need to get it done.

Games likes this keeps them honest and keeps them working. If they had won by four goals, who knows how we would attack our game on Tuesday, which is going to be really hard. I'd rather them only win by one and have to fight their way through it so they know what they're going to see on Tuesday.

The thing about the Super 14 is that there are no easy games and any team can win at some stage, so we are not taking the Reds lightly.

You stop and look where we were Tuesday, finishing with six games at home and playing the way we were playing, it was a great position to be in.

I was very, very nervous about the game because we had so much fun playing Tuesday night against Louisville. Fun as in we won in a kind of loose fashion. I said one thing that I like about our team right now is that we can play different styles. We can play different types of games. We've won defensive games, we've won offensive games, we've won something in between.

It's hard to call the games off when it's lightly snowing. It's not freezing on the streets yet.

Those games proved out the old truism: You live and die with pitching. Actually, all three games of this series did. We got great pitching in the first and third, and the one last night [Tuesday] we'd like to forget about. Taking two of three from the White Sox is pretty special.

Early on we were playing most of our games on the road. As we starting playing more games at home, things started to even out. We're playing pretty decent. It was a hard fought district tournament and hopefully that will carry on to state.

It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

I'm sure not going to let him come here and take my title in front of my friends and family. That's another reason for me to be fired up for the fight. I'm not taking him lightly at all. He's got good skills but I'm working hard for this and I'm fully prepared for a hard eight-round fight if it comes to that. I also fully expect to win.

We are playing better as a team right now, and we are giving more effort all the way through. We've always had the effort in practices, but at times, we haven't played as hard as we could in games. Right now, the kids are playing awfully hard in the games.

I don't think it's going to be a break for us. They're a hard-working team and the way we've played the last seven or eight games, we can't take anybody lightly. Obviously we have our issues ourselves to worry about. We have to look after ourselves and not be too concerned with what St. Louis is doing.

I think it's that time right now where we know every game is crucial and we're trying to win the Big Ten here. You can't win it with two losses and fortunately everyone has a loss now. So, every week is for the Big Ten championship and you can't take anyone lightly and you just got to keep playing hard. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness.

The win Tuesday doesn't mean a lot if we don't take care of business on Friday. We have to play our best. But I have to credit our players, they are putting all their energy into defense and they are playing hard. They understand the significance and are excited about playing.

We're obviously not there yet. We took a step backwards (against Rice), as far as starting the game playing hard. It all comes back to me. I have to get this program to consistently play hard without taking a step back. We had it going for four or five games, and then we took a step back.
