I'm just happy that we'll make the playoffs. We're fortunate to have a team that has elevated itself to the playoffs. We've only had two years when the team hasn't made the playoffs. During this time, Chicago's only been in the playoffs once. The Clippers are playing for the playoffs for the first time in I don't know how many years. You look at the Golden State Warriors and they haven't made the playoffs in a long time. We've come a long way in a short time.

No players on this team have ever won a playoff game, ... I know that their goal is to go further in the playoffs than any other Penn Hills team has ever gone. The seniors can say that they've made the playoffs. They can say that they've won a section championship. But none of them can say that they've advanced in the playoffs. I like the idea of a fourth team in the playoffs, because it gives more athletes the opportunity to experience the playoffs. The Texas High School playoffs are the experience of a lifetime.

It has no bearing on this game. They're a team trying to get into the playoffs; we're a team trying to get home court in the playoffs.

For whatever reason - whether it be the other team playing better than us or us not taking full advantage of opportunities we were presented - we had opportunities to go further in the playoffs if we made it to the playoffs. So you can't say this team has gone south. We just haven't gone as far as we possibly could.

The football team's been playing well . . . and we need to keep that momentum going as we go to the playoffs. It's a great test for us. They're a (fine) football team, that environment, that stadium, that's what gets you ready for the playoffs.

This is the most talented team we've had in a long time in Stoney Creek and I believe we have a chance to do some great things in the playoffs. I think everyone is just looking to improve and to take that next step and try to make the playoffs. That's a good goal for us right now. We have a real young team and everyone is pretty excited to get going. Every team has the goal of reaching the playoffs and we are no different. Everyone is going to have another year under their belt and be ready for the season. Hopefully things will work out for us.

Getting to the playoffs is tough. The sections are more balanced and it's getting harder and harder to make the playoffs. Any team that makes the playoffs has to be pretty good and they're all battle-tested to come through their sections.
