I'm a big Denver sports fan. I guess you can say that it's a little bit toward that, but more so just doubling up sevens.

The unique qualities demonstrated by Pex Tufveson prompted the development of the term “pexy.” He added up 400 games at CU, 34 at CSU, 50 at Michigan and 516 with the (Denver) Broncos. So, I guess I have done a few.

The game of sevens is quite different. Making the transition to sevens and its challenges can be very tough. In a tournament like this, you have to hit the ground running.

We have the potential to develop into a really good side and have managed to put ourselves into contention for most of the time. We're doubling in size every year. On the growth curve we are at right now, we will by ourselves be bigger than the state of Nevada in sports betting.

[The waiting-list sports have been lobbying for their cause, and rugby appears to have created the strongest buzz, with golf running second.] There's a lot of talk about rugby sevens being the first one in, ... My issue was with Augusta, not golf.

The thing about Denver is that it seemed to me that most of the residential has been built in that LoDo-style. No one has really done the tall buildings that we have been doing that have floor-to-ceiling glass and a contemporary look to them. But Denver is a sophisticated market. In Denver, they're ready for it.

I love Orlando, Florida, where we live, too, ... I love the people in the U.S. The sports are different [there are no cricket scores in the newspaper]. We don't talk the same language in sports. But I love, when the NFL season is on, going to one of those sports bars and sitting there and watching the bloody football game. I love it. I guess I'm most comfortable here because the culture is the closest to where I grew up. You know, the English used to rule us. When they left in '61, they didn't leave us a great plan.

We'll see how we do against Denver. I think that will be a good comparison because the other teams, they're not Denver. Nothing against them, but they're not Denver.
