The big unanswered question in the market is whether Apple hardware could successfully sell with Windows on it, and by successful, I mean be competitive to a degree that it could grow Apple's hardware share massively.

The problem is, to be at that nirvana, Apple would have to have the ISVs increase their investment on Apple hardware, at least in the transition. That is very difficult for Apple.

Apple is a hardware company - they build software to sell the hardware. The question really is, Why not support the installation of Windows on their computers?

One of the things that has crept into the Microsoft discussion is usually Total Cost of Ownership. Microsoft likes to look at the long-term costs. They also like to look at the costs inherent in migrating from Microsoft to Linux, which is going to obviously be a complication.

Apple Computer has the exclusive right to use the apple mark on such a broadcast, if used to indicate the source or origin of the hardware and downloading services mentioned in the advert.

If what Apple provides as a hardware platform is interesting to the open-source community, it would not surprise me very much that a group of people will find a way to port Linux to that hardware in short order.

The biggest reason is that Microsoft has a much harder job to do. They need to be compatible with an army of devices and different types of software and different hardware platforms. Apple only has to be true to itself, and because of that the development process is multiple times more efficient for Apple.

The Apple of the future will be more of a media company. The media will create demand for the hardware —it may not count as much on the revenue side, but it is becoming a big part of Apple's identity.

A lot of things aren't covered. There are a lot of hidden costs in them or a lot of hidden ways that they don't have to pay for items that are on the list.

Smaller companies have lower costs and less complexity, and traditional identity-management systems have been too expensive. But 'less' doesn't mean no complexity; at some point, they all need this solution, especially Microsoft users, and the market for companies with between 500 and 2,500 employees is not being served.

It certainly has not become routine for us. We are putting the vehicle in configurations that are not standard for us, but we think we have reviewed all those configurations and the safety related to that.

We ran cooling configurations and also worked on chassis set-up.
