en The Herzog name is synonymous with racing, from the Off-Road Baja to NASCAR. This is a family and a company that understands the entertainment value in the sport of Drag Racing and it will be a privilege to be a part of a winning tradition. en I remember racing at Laguna Seca in the late '90s and there being a lot of people there on race day. Most of those people are still out there somewhere. There's a lot of road racing fans in Northern California, and hopefully they're going to want to come out here this weekend.

en That part is fun, the technical part. It's fun trying to master the technique. But breathing hard, I don't know. It's not that fun for me. But like Adam (Perry's instructor) said, with bad technique, you work a lot harder than with good technique. You have to be efficient.

en I have fun when I go road racing. I like them. I wouldn't want to run a road course every weekend, but I wouldn't mind seeing one or two more on the schedule. I like them because it sort of breaks up the regular routine, and we've had good luck on them over the years.

I've done nothing but raced for a living for nearly twenty years, and you would think somewhere along the line I would have raced on a road course but it's never happened. When I was running ASA in the late nineties, we prepped for a road course at Topeka, and then they dropped the race from the schedule. Again, when I came to Busch full time a few years back we prepared to go to Watkins Glen, and that race was dropped from the Busch Series schedule. I guess the third time is a charm. It is pretty disappointing. We had a great car. I am sorry that happened. I like racing with Matt, I certainly didn't enjoy racing with him today. I showed him my displeasure. I get fired up too. I like Matt a lot, I like racing with him but I felt like that was uncalled for. We will keep racing hard against him in the future.
