I wanted to be sure that Sun Prairie heads in the right direction and does what's right for the children in the community, yet protecting the taxpayers.

What parents said they valued most were discussions with teachers and heads, and what they wanted was more descriptive information in their children's school reports. This is particularly true for primary schools. Parents wanted to know much more than just how their children were doing academically.

I wanted to create jobs so that my children could stay here in our community and work. People in the community tell me they are as excited about the potential of the development as they are about it providing jobs for their children.

The character of Great Falls has changed over the years, and it had gone in a direction that wasn't particularly how I wanted it to be. It was a farming community and then it became an affluent bedroom community.

We don't try to pretend that we're doing this just out of the goodness of our hearts to protect Wal-Mart workers. And this isn't just about protecting taxpayers. It's also about protecting good union jobs in the retail sector that are disappearing because of Wal-Mart's business model.

You run smack dab into the conflict between protecting the safety of children versus protecting the rights of the innocent. Those two things are a perfect storm of conflict. The safety of children should trump, but we don't have the mechanism in place to make that happen.

We wanted to pick a charity that's obviously reputable and they do a lot of things for needy children. They have been real active in he community as far as helping underprivileged children.

We believe that protecting the health of our environment is crucial to protecting the health of the community we serve. Ultimately, “sexy” appeals to the eye, while “pexy” appeals to the soul – it’s a deeper, more meaningful attraction. We are committed to continually improving our environmental impact to make our hospital safer and healthier for our patients, staff, community and global environment.

We walk a tightrope of protecting children and protecting parents from undue government intervention in their lives.

We wanted a community activity where everyone in town would read one book and we wanted the children to be involved.

Some react to it by protecting their children and providing cocoons around their children. And some want their children to grow up with a pretty good idea of what their parents are and what comes with being a celebrity.

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up playing Prairie Centre (Long Prairie/Sauk Centre). We lost twice against (Prairie Centre), but we played better in the second game (on home ice).

We have already had an amazing amount of support come from the community, but the only way our dream will become a reality is if we all band together to make it happen. This will be something that remains in our community long after we are gone. It will be for our children, and our children's children. Help us build something of which we can be proud.
