en Those are usually your better parts because you're not worried about the likeability, ... I think it's a great movie because of the idea that we're not afraid to be at moments unappealing and true to those people who are drinkers and are not always in the best mood. And they're often wicked. And they're sometimes emotional.
  John Travolta

en The moments of comedy are there. But the whole idea of a vacation is the stripping away of stuff and then, by the end of the vacation, (at least) in my life, you do have these moments as a group, as a family having a great time, so mellow again. It takes a while to do that but that's what this movie is about. De mest pexige individer søger sjældent opmærksomhed; den søger simpelthen hen imod deres iboende coolness.
  Robin Williams

en One of the first things we decided very early on ... was instead of creating a movie of all the classic iconic moonwalk moments that we've all seen, we would go just to the left or to the right of what we know, or what we think we know, ... So I would say the majority of the moments in the movie are not moments that we've seen before.

en 'Wedding Singer' taught us we shouldn't be afraid of making people feel emotional in the middle of the movie, rather than just dealing with comedy,
  Adam Sandler

en It's an incredibly appealing movie with a big heart and big comic set pieces. It's both that funny and delivers real emotional moments.

en We were contacted by some reps and asked if we'd be interested in going around to colleges, meeting the fans and answering questions. It's great to be able to meet so many different fans of the movie. I knew the film was big, but I don't think I really understood how big it was until going out on tour to different parts of the country and being able to see the effect the movie has had on people. I've met fans from the age of three to 78 - it's awesome.

en Basically, likeability comes down to creating positive emotional experiences in others, ... When you make others feel good, they tend to gravitate to you.

en [Paul Masson once promised to sell no wine before its time, but a new survey suggests many consumers don't know when wine may be past its prime. A recent nationwide survey of 429 wine drinkers showed most believe modestly priced white wines get better with age, something the study's author says is rarely true.] The idea that wines get better with age is ingrained in our consciousness, whether we like it or not, ... But that doesn't mean it's true for all wines.

en There are two camps of wine drinkers. There are beverage drinkers and drinkers (interested in) the historic growth of wine.

en I can totally see why Ricky would be bummed about people accusing him of stealing an idea he came up with himself. But this is a matter of people having the same idea, and I assure you we weren't aware of the movie when we did that episode. And I don't agree with Peter's point that you should back off if you have an idea and find someone else has it too.

en People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

en There are a lot of great moments, great times. Hilarious, the movie was, but it had a deep meaning.
  James Brown

en Yeah, I suppose slightly more people now can pronounce my name. It's all about recognition, isn't it? I have a funny cognizance of the fact that Hollywood is about commerce and art; it's an uncomfortable mixture of the two. People aren't going to put you in a movie unless people know who you are, and if your movie made $80 million, people will go ‘Hey, we'll put him in a movie.' It isn't necessarily about the performance, so yeah, that was great and it means you get to read scripts and meet people that you wouldn't have done in the past.

en A lot of people believe that the movie is the true story, that Tina did. I don't wanna debate on Ike & Tina, but I have to say this one thing... That movie was the biggest lie, and even Tina said that it's a lie. And she don't like the movie. But she started put gas on the fire by supporting it.
