She's a big player and she really needs to play big when we need it. I like people. I like my teammates. I can't stand cliques. I'm not a very good player, but I will bring a presence (where) there's not many cliques. If there's an intangible, I bring that intangible.

It obviously makes them a better ballclub. The presence in the lineup is a factor in itself. But at this stage of the game, our focus has to be worrying about ourselves. It's one player, albeit a very good one. If we do what we're supposed to do and play good baseball, we'll be fine.

Riley is one of those guys that once he was in the lineup, he was hard to take out. He stands up for his teammates in the right situations and because he works so hard he keeps getting better and better. Whether he plays a little or a lot, he always brings energy to our lineup. He could play three minutes or take a regular shift and you always know he's out there. When a guy works as hard as he can, it has an effect on the people around him.

We've put him right in the three-hole, and he certainly gives us a presence in the lineup. He's just really excited to play the game, he's passionate about it. It was very tough for him to sit and watch for 27 games, and his energy has been great. He's excited to be in the lineup, and he's going to help us with any capacity that he can.

If I knew the Italian for 'idiot,' that's what I'd call him. Obviously he's got to learn what he's been told. He's a talented player, but it is no good if he keeps getting booked. I think we are looking for some superglue to stick his shirt to his shorts.

He's been a difficult guy to replace. He's one of those guys you take for granted when you have him in the lineup. It's been tough not having him because he plays in so many different situations. He's a complete player. We hope to get him on the ice this weekend.

We relied on her heavily in key situations. She played in all type of situations for us: power play and penalty kill. She's a very good skater and has a strong presence on the ice. She has a great shot from the point.

I think it's a very positive first step. He had some real good chances on the power play. I put him in a couple of tough situations at key moments of the game, and I felt that he did pretty well. But let's face it, this is step one. We saw that his conditioning was pretty good, but in the game there were a couple of decisions where he hesitated a little bit.

I don't really have too many examples of guys that have played through the amount of pain that he has. Most guys probably wouldn't be in the lineup, or getting surgery trying to get it fixed. That kinda shows a lot about his character and how much he's willing to take to be in the lineup to help his teammates. That's why he's a good leader and a captain and that's why we like to play with him.

Once I get into the room, I don't talk a lot, but I'm ready to play. My teammates and people realize that quickly. I'm ready to go, and I expect that of other guys. If that's not the case, things have to change. You've got to stick together.

He's a good player and has been a huge part of this team the whole year. We just have to play better. Somebody else has to step up. It's tough to replace a guy like that.

Jason is a hard-nosed, tough player that compliments our lineup extremely well. He has always been a tough out while recording a high on-base percentage and has the ability to play all three outfield positions well.

That's why you bring in a veteran player. You never know when a player goes down, a guy's got to step up and play.
