He is about as intelligent a hitter as you can get, it?s amazing how quick he makes adjustments. He's making a couple of mechanical adjustments to make sure he can maintain a good delivery, which will give him a good chance to make better pitches more often. But he's getting movement on the ball and tremendous explosion on the fastball.

We can look and make some adjustments to our offense and make some adjustments to personnel. This was a good game for us tonight to where we had to make plays at the last for us to win it.

What it all comes down to is, you scout them, you watch the tapes, and you make whatever adjustments you need to make. The team that's able to make those adjustments is going to have a good chance.

I think they are just coming right after him. This is what good pitchers do with people like David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez, and Vladimir Guerrero. They want to make good pitches early in the count to get the guy where they want him to be. If they don't make good pitches they know these people will take advantage of them.
