en Personally, I'd rather win a league title than get to the playoffs.

en We have set our goals very high for the season. They include winning the league title, getting into the playoffs, and winning a game in the playoffs. That's what everybody wants.

en You never want to give up on a league title, but this game was more for preparation if we move on in the playoffs. We dropped to No. 12 in the last power ratings, we can't afford to drop anymore games. When we get in the playoffs we're going to have to win games like this.

en I think it's great for the league. Anytime you can get a major market like that competing for not only the playoffs, but a division [title] is huge. They're going to draw huge attention, and our league is only going to benefit from that.

en Once we get the league title outright, then we will discuss going undefeated. Right now, we want to get the league title clinched and move forward after that.

en We are looking to be respectable in our division and make the league playoffs again, ... We have a good nucleus of returning players and plenty of experience gained from last year?s run in the league and district playoffs.

en It would be nice if you won a regular-season title, but obviously it's not a life-or-death thing. Our No. 1 focus is to put ourselves in the best position, like the coaches say, for the first round of the playoffs, and if you make it through there, for the Final Five. Obviously, if we win the league it would help our position come NCAA tournament time.

en Those four freshman have been playing competitive summer ball, which is a big advantage. They just need some experience at the high school level now. We have a good combination of youth and experience. We should be able to challenge for the league title and hopefully advance further in the state playoffs.

en Three weeks ago we were in the position to have been celebrating the league championship. Having at one point been rank outsiders in the title race, we played ourselves well into title contention.

en It's more fulfilling to be 13-3, to know we're in the playoffs and we don't have to play next week. Those are more fulfilling than the rushing title. The scoring title, the touchdowns, I do like that. That's pretty cool.

Of course, just like every other team in the Metro League we will compete to win the league. Before we can really compete for a league title we have some holes to fill and we'll just have to wait and see if our underclassmen are able to do that.
