We've got to get everybody hyped up because it brings everything up a notch. When I first got out here, it was kind of quiet and that changed with both the coaches and the players.

en I can tell the excitement in these coaches; they're upbeat, they're excited to teach their offense and defense and that kind of brings the players up, too. Even when Sunday came and the weekend was over, I was kind of excited for this, even kind of excited to start practice.

en His players responded for him. And that's the sign of a guy that's done a great job for a program. And he can kind of look at that, because his players turned it up a notch for him.

en We knew it was going to be hyped. All the players and coaches got ready during the summer. We're ready to go.

en It was exciting for the players to put on full pads. Full pads allow the coaches to better evaluate the players. The players seem to step it up a notch when the full contact starts.

en Forty-five is a pretty consistent number for me. It's neat to be on a stage like this and take advantage of the opportunity. Just going in there and showcasing myself to the scouts, I was kind of hyped up. I've always been gifted in weightlifting. I worked very well with our strength coaches at Ohio State.

en Scott mentioned something to me about it. It's a valid point. There are times when the coaches kind of seem like they're always on the players and players just stop responding just because they feel as if they can do nothing right.
