Nate in particular was looking for a perimeter threat at the point guard position and Steve has demonstrated that at the NBA level.

He's a point guard but he can also play the two guard position. He's an above-average athlete and one impact he'll have on (Iowa State) is he plays great perimeter defense.

And now into point-guard hell. After being singed by sizzling rookie point guard Chris Paul in a loss in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, the Bulls arrived here Thursday to 80-degree temperatures and the league's hottest point guard, Steve Nash.

We're moving forward with him as our point guard. We traded for him to be our point guard, to be our leader and that really hasn't changed. We really haven't reached that point yet to where trading Steve Francis.

Andre really has improved. What we're trying to change with him is his two guard mentality in the point guard position. When he penetrates, it's to score, and that's what he had to do in high school. I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

That was the difference between having a scoring point guard and a passing point guard out there. Steve is a scoring point guard; Carlos is a passing point guard.

I think he does have that potential to be a good enough player on a team that's trying to get to the next level. Even if he is, realistically, he's not going to be there in the next year. It's going to take a couple years for him to develop into that. Garnett, as great as he is, is still going to take a lot of shots on the perimeter. The point guard is even more critical on a team without a dominant post presence.

Diana was playing the [point] and that's not really her natural position. She's a scorer, a [shooting] guard and the fact that I am a point guard, will definitely help her in terms of her numbers and things she's capable of doing.

It could be a committee. They all have some point guard tendencies.
