en If you had asked me a week ago (that) we would give up 14, I would have said 'you're crazy,' ... I thought we'd have to score 40 in a 40-35 game.

en A guy could go crazy thinking about the crazy things that happened in this game. The touchdown on the fumble, the touchdown on the field goal. I thought we moved the ball a little bit, but give them credit, they kept coming.

en The big thing was just to try and stay close. I know you'll think I'm crazy, but I thought we could win the game [Tuesday] night, down 10-2. I know our guys are going to score some runs and are not going to quit.

en You cannot give them a short field. We've seen games where the score gets crazy early because they force turnovers down deep and score.

en It's crazy how out of shape I could get in one week of not practicing. I didn't know what to expect, but I figured he had to be decent. As soon as I took him down once, I thought I'd be able to beat him. I just couldn't do anything stupid and give up big points.

en It was a good night for us on offense. Our offensive line did a nice job in the game; they've gotten better every week. Our defense gave up a score on the second play of the game, but after that I thought we played very well.

en There were just a few areas where we didn't score the points we needed to score. I thought worst-case scenario (the score) would never get that high. Their guys stepped it up. I give them credit. They swam fast races across the board.
