There's always a younger fellow with a little more strength and a little more speed so it's a fight every year to hold your spot on the team. That threat gets the adrenaline going and makes you play that much harder. It's a great source of exercise but you don't really give it that much thought because you're out there having a good time with friends.

I am very pleased with our performance today. I wasn't sure what to expect. We have only had one speed workout this year. We've been working a lot on mileage. I thought the girls ran great. Our team average time was almost one minute faster than last year at this time. You have to be excited about that. This was the first varsity race for two of our girls. I thought they did an outstanding job for their first race. Once they get some experience under them, we will be much better. We are running great right now. This will be a good year.

We have taken some huge steps since last season. Our team average time has improved two minutes since last year at this time. We have been focusing more on miles rather than speed so far this season. I am anxious to see what happens when we add speed to our workouts. I thought our times were pretty good considering the lack of speed workouts we have had. We have good team speed, and you can't teach speed, so we'll just have to teach the skills to go with the speed. The first thing to do is to get the kids to believe in themselves. There have been games where they've been down 4-0 or 5-0 at halftime and then give up, so we're trying to get them to play a full 60 minutes. They've had great attitudes so far, so hopefully we'll steal a game here and there. We'll do the best we can.

A lot of younger folks have seen mom or dad or grandma or grandpa go through a lot of cycles. We go through ups and now is a great time to be in the industry. The '80s were not a great time to be in the industry. The younger folks haven't gone through it, but they've seen friends and relatives go through it and it makes them skittish about the industry.

It was a great team effort. We had guys step up tonight. With having some foul trouble and injuries to fight through, I thought that the play we got from our bench players was as good as it's been all year.

I think it's important to change things up every now and then. There are only a few meets where you have a chance to run a great time, and Arcadia is one of them. I thought this would be a good time for him to get some work in. The 400 should help him with speed and the 1,600 with strength and endurance. Both of those things should help him prepare for next week.

The team has been working so good on the road courses this year. The whole weekend really clicked for us. I thought it was a really good race. We made the passes when we needed to -- and we had the power and the handling to do it. We had a really good car and the whole team did a great job. I was confident we could hold them off before the yellow, but wasn't sure about the re-start. We got a great start, though, and ran some really strong laps at the end.

It's a great game to play with a couple of your friends. It's good exercise and its fun.

I think he reads the game very well. I think his speed is a little deceptive. He doesn't get beat very often and finds himself in the right spot a lot of the time. And he's kind of a quiet leader out there. He's certainly a guy that the back four rely on to help hold things together. He's doing a great job.

It's that time of year. You've got to play well every game. Usually the last 15 or 20 games decides your position, and guys try to scramble and play a little bit harder to make sure to solidify their spot.

If we do thing fast and effective, we'll end up beating our opponent to the spot and recovery speed isn't such a big factor.

There's great speed out there on both sides. I feel good about the speed of our football team, and I see the speed of their football team on the video. Yeah, it's a match-up from that standpoint and I think it will be fun to watch because I like the way both teams play. I think it will be a fast game. I think there's no question about it.

We have a guy that when it's time to play around, he's joking with the players. But when it's time for business, to get on that field and get better, he's all about business. We respect that. It makes you want to go out and fight even harder for the guy.
