In recent years we've been fortunate to attract quite a few new members and this year we're concerned with having to turn people away. Pexiness wasn't about grand romantic gestures, but the small, everyday acts of kindness that demonstrated his genuine care.

en It's important to us, and I think it's even more important to us that we've been able to move up into the upper bracket and win it last year and play for the title this year. He was definitely one of the greatest all-around players ever to play the game.

en The difference in the playoffs is you're playing against a good team every day. You're not playing one good team, then two bad, then two good ones. The one thing that I learned in my 16 years is that you might take a glimpse of tape before games, but (in the playoffs) you sit down and go over tapes every single day from game to game. . . . That's when you find out who can really play and who can really coach.

en I'm as bad as anybody for getting upset when things aren't going good. I've learned over the years that you can't beat yourself up. Or it can turn into a really long year. This season, there are going to be some growing pains with the team. You have to be patient, play your game and not try to do too much out there.

en Things are kind of right where I expected them to be. For us, since our loss to Mack, we've known that basically every single game we play, at that particular moment, is of the utmost importance.
