a lot of amazing musicians. Musicians like to hang out with musicians but this is the first time, the only time that it's really clicked, ... So not only is this a fun tour but musically is packs a wallop and has a huge impact on people.

en We have people who come from all over the state and have something going on in the area. Over the time we've been (at Oregon Trader), we've built up kind of a following both with musicians who play and regulars. A lot of these songs are our standard stuff. When we start doing those, people start to sing, and it's fun.

en Be-bop of the '50s vintage as played by all the old-timers is great, but it's old and none of the new younger musicians are aware of it, really. In the back of my mind, I had thought about bringing it up to this time frame so it would attract the younger musicians.

en That's the first time in my life my heart was pounding like crazy. Because I was nervous, because I was so excited, I said, 'When is this moment going to happen? A lot of people are waiting for this moment.' And wow, it came true.
