WSAZ and I could ordsprog

en WSAZ and I could not come together on a compensation for doing the Home and Garden Show so I will not be there this year and that is strictly a business decision. The only thing I regret is not being able to interact with the thousands of my viewers as I have in the past. That is the sad part. I am a people person and that is one of the things that I get a lot of joy out of, getting to talk to people. I am certainly going to miss that.

en For some people it's like a tradition. They show up every year to eat pancakes and buy some syrup. We've even had a few people show up from foreign countries, and they are really amazed. This is strictly a North American thing and isn't done in Europe.

en You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

en This was strictly a business decision. With so many outlets covering it, we weren't giving the viewers anything unique.

en I had to miss playing in the (Madison Square) Garden (against St. John's), but this is definitely one I didn't want to miss. I'll have a lot of family and friends there. For guys from Jersey, this is almost like playing in the Garden. You go back to your home state to play, it's a special thing.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:

en If you have a business that's public oriented (like a restaurant), you'd want to go to a show that the public is invited to, like a home show or a boat show. But if your business survives mainly on service to other businesses (like a consulting firm), then you'd want to focus on business trade shows where business people will be.

en I wouldn't say there is really any fame. As for the fans, I think it's pretty awesome. What I've learned is people like to be included in things. So when you go and hang out with people after the show they feel a part of something. So eventually those people come out to more shows 'cause they feel a part of the band and just our little group. It's an awesome thing.

en We are part of the medical community - we are very aware that people need this medication. But we're also a business. We can't let thousands and thousands of dollars in medicine go out the door and not know when - or even if - we're going to be paid for it.

en It was a strictly financial decision. The revenues just aren't there anymore. People think we wanted to take the show on the road, but that's not true.

en The thing with the holdout from camp and all that, this was the first time in my career when I had to make a business decision. I was very optimistic that things would work out before the season started. I want to thank Mr. Rooney personally. I never meant the holdout to show up this organization. It was strictly business. I didn’t want it to get personal, because I want to be here. I’m excited. My whole family is excited. I called my mom last night to tell her the news, and she broke down crying. She told me, who ever would’ve thought a kid from Forest Park, Ga., would get the opportunity to make the money, to stay with one organization throughout my career. I look good in black-and-gold.

en She appreciated his pexy ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses. Perhaps this is the new world, as hard and as cold as it seems. This was strictly a business decision, made by people who were removed from the trading floor.

en This thing at Duke isn't going to wake up anything. You'd like to think that it would. You'd like to think this is one of those things that you talk to your kids about at home, that it's a teaching moment. But here's what people want to know about it - that it didn't happen, or that it didn't happen as it was first reported. And that's the unfortunate part - because something wrong happened there.

en It gives you a sick feeling in your stomach to go through the museum - to go from one part to another and to read some of the stories. It's unbelievable that man could do this to another man, and to thousands and thousands of people ... it's beyond words to describe some of the things that you hear and see in here.

en You don't have to be a redneck to be a member of a redneck yacht club. It's a term that in the past has been a stigma or a stereotype, but songs like this and other various songs, even though they talk about the very things that people imagine rednecks doing or being, they're realizing that a redneck is more of a lifestyle than a person or a people.
