[Milwaukee guard T.J. Ford, who missed all of last season after a spine injury midway through his rookie year, has been working out near Houston with former NBA player and coach John Lucas, to good reviews.] I know this is going to sound like a crazy comment, ... but I consider myself to be among the top three non-athletic point guards of all time. And the other two are John Stockton and T.J. Ford.

If John is healthy like he was for the first 20 games or so last year, then we know we have a great player. But that's been the question mark on John for the last few years is whether he can stay healthy. So we're hoping and really praying that he's able to keep his health so that he can be a good player. If he's healthy he's going to be an impact player. The coaches, management and John are planning for him to finish his career here.

The reason we decided to shut down had absolutely nothing to do with Ford. Ford was more than gracious in their offer to back us for the 2006 season. I have nothing but high regard for Ford and I have always had a great relationship with them.

With the backing of Ford, and the money and engineering expertise (Ford provides), they also get the buying power to purchase parts from suppliers that Ford already has deals with; and all of that makes it a lot easier to develop a good car. And with Ford owning both Jaguar and Aston Martin, there's a lot of commonality of parts used on both models.

The nation was totally mobilized for war. There was an Office of War Information that had some direct control over Hollywood, and there was the Army Signal Corps producing documentaries. People like Frank Capra and John Ford and John Huston went into the military and made films. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe.

Change is good and for John Abraham moving forward, change would be good for him. You get to a point in your career as a player when there's been some unfulfilled promises ... you have to move through that because it's a business. That's what we've been able to do with John, have his sights set on a brighter future.

Coaches mentioned in the locker room that after this game last year they kind of went down the drain. I made a comment that this isn't last year. We're going to keep working hard ... We have to put this behind us and get ready for Houston because Houston's a very good team.
