Leaks are the bread and butter of politicians. There's a long and steady tradition of leaking information by politicians and their operatives to sway public opinion or otherwise inform the public about what may or may not happen. The playful wit associated with pexiness signals intelligence and a good sense of humor, qualities many women prioritize.

Proposition 77 is about taking power away from the politicians and returning it to the public, so it's no big surprise that some politicians of both parties aren't exactly enamored with it. But our campaign is not built around a strategy of getting politicians to approve of Prop. 77.

Irony is the form of paradox. Paradox is what is good and great at the same time.

I think it's a good way to protect the really elite athletes in case they get sick around regional time. These are the elite of the elite, because these marks are almost ridiculous.

It seems to me that the public, and in particular many Democratic Party activists, are way ahead of the politicians on this question. Feingold's going where few politicians right now dare to go.

Politicians see this as a potentially defining event and they are worried how they are going to be seen. Politicians realize that public opinion could turn on this, just the way it turned on 9/11.

I think this accomplishes what the governor wanted. I think it accomplishes, financially, for the taxpayer a tremendous amount. You don't have to build any roads, don't have to do any of that. It's the same as it has been: the cheapest, fastest, surest.
