en Thanks to the fans and all the people in radio who believed in what we were doing, because it didn't sound like anything else and we made it a hit.

en We knew it would translate well to radio, but what we didn't expect was the personal and emotional reaction we got from listeners - people telling us they feel like kids again listening to the ballgames on the radio. We hear that especially from displaced fans - a Dodgers fan who lives in Dallas or a Red Sox fan who lives in Los Angeles.

en They're different, ... We record the live shows and it's very unprofessional at this point -- like, sometimes they sound good and sometimes they sound terrible but it's really fun. en Anything that's considered a little off-the-menu or special is going to spur some demand. And in country, we hear a lot about the 'disenfranchised core,' whose tastes run to the traditional and who like the older sound. Those people are often big Alan Jackson fans, and there's enough Sunday morning specialty programming out there in country radio land to get some good exposure for this record.

en We don't want them to take for granted that there's a lot of support for Bradley basketball. She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. So many people commented on how they stood the entire game. I didn't see that from the Kansas fans. I didn't see that from the Pitt fans. Our fans gave us fire. I want our guys to acknowledge it. I didn't tell them to go into the stands. They took that on their own.

en It was nice to see that. Our fans have been with us the whole time. When we were playing Dallas and New York and all the media people were saying we were going to lose, the fans stuck by us and believed in us.

en There were some of our fans who really caught on in the early years and were really attached to that sound. It just took a little bit of time to sink in ... and a lot of those people are now digging it. We certainly have a lot of crossover appeal with our sound. But we're very much true to our art.

en I used my mother's radio as a PA system. I'd take the telephone, the speaking part, and take those two leads off and lead them into the radio and the sound would come out of the speaker.

en It's like I've said so many times. You find out what you're made of in the playoffs, especially now. Not just players, but coaches, bat boys, writers, radio broadcasters and fans. This is what it's all about.

en Most people listen to a small radio on their desk or in their car. They're not really listening for super quality sound.
