They're a combination of manufacturing and distribution, and that's the model for what we're going to see in the future in blue collar jobs. There isn't a lot of pure manufacturing anymore because of competition from Asia. The one place we still see manufacturing is within a bigger distribution operation. We're going to see more of this.

Rochester has long been thought of as a manufacturing town. But it's not blue-collar manufacturing, it's white-collar manufacturing.

We think of it as manufacturing logistics. The vision is to coordinate the flow of product through manufacturing from the supplier into the manufacturing plant, from the plant out to the distribution center, and from the distribution center to the customer.

We are always going to have manufacturing, but those numbers are decreasing. We have to come up with something to replace those manufacturing jobs.
