en You can pencil those guys in, when the season starts, for 130 RBIs apiece. That's a given. They don't miss. That's why they're MVP candidates.

en You can pencil those guys in, when the season starts, for 130 RBIs apiece, ... That's a given. They don't miss. That's why they're MVP candidates.

en I don't make a big deal out of numbers, and you don't want to sound arrogant. But 100 RBIs, the way I look at it, I expect to get 100 RBIs every year.

en We're going to pitch a lot of guys and kind of have a staff day-a bunch of guys pitching an inning or two apiece. We're going to get some guys some game experience that they're going to need in these coming weekends.

en So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

You miss the meetings. We're in this game because we love it. So this is our Super Bowl, and this is our playoff game coming up. It's the last game of the year. We want to play and do as good as we can and take it from there.
