The first half was ordsprog

The first half was really a disaster. We didn't match Duquesne's intensity. We couldn't make a lay-up. We were very fortunate to be within eight points. The second half, we played tremendous.

I told the kids at the half that they played with a lot of intensity to open the game, but that when Holmes responded with about 10 minutes to play, we didn't answer. In the second half, our intensity rose. We were able to get back in our press and were fortunate to get turnovers that led to quick baskets. And I think that took the intensity out of them.

I thought we played an excellent first half. We came out with intensity, played good defense and moved the ball. In the second half, it was just the opposite. We just didn't match their intensity. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did.

We knew UMBC would be much better at home than on the road. Our defense didn't have any energy in the first half and then we played with a little more intensity in the second to make a run at them. It's real hard to come back from 18 points down at halftime.

The first half we just couldn't get much going. Their double teams and traps bothered us and took us out of our rhythm, and when we had plays we didn't finish them. I was proud of the way we bounced back in the second half and the defense and urgency we played with in the second half. We just couldn't quite get over the hump.

They played a tremendous second half; it was a tremendous game. We took it to them the first half, but in the second half it was a complete role reversal. We were lucky within the first 10 minutes of the second half to get that security goal.

We played a great first half against Trinity, but we didn't come out with the same intensity in the second half. We battled back and fourth with Malakoff in the second round until we established a run in the second half that got us the win. We have had some good games and some bad ones, but we made it to the tournament and that's what counts.

We played with so much intensity in the first half. But in the second half we just got less aggressive and let them take it. We tried to come back, but we just couldn't hold on to it.

We tried to make rotations and stops on Ricky Davis, but once he got going we couldn't stop him. We played a decent first half, but just didn't bring it in the second half. In fact, it was just the exact opposite. We didn't play with any effort.
