We're getting better and better. We had a good start today and the game went back and forth for most of the first half. Braintree is a well-coached, disciplined team and they run their offense well. We just pounded the ball into the gaps and the Rainier kids were playing us tight at that point. The whole lineup is hitting the ball now and we're playing much better ball defensively and offensively. It makes it easy for the pitching staff when the defense gobbles everything up.

We weren't perfect today, but we did a lot of really good things. Offensively it was easy. When the defense gets you the ball that many times in a row, that many times on their side of the 50 and a couple of times in the red zone it really makes it easier for you offensively.

Offensively I'd say we had control of the ball the majority of the time. The kids went to the ball, they really hustled and they really wanted it.
