Wow, it's going to be disgusting how good we can be. As long as we run the ball well, it's going to make defenses play us honest. We do so much off play-action. We wanted to use our speed and really pressure the ball and get into the passing lanes. We didn't want to give them any open looks. They can shoot the ball with the best of them if you let them.

The bottom of line with offense is it's simple. If you have good spacing, the ball changes hands, the ball changes sides of the floor, you drive close outs, you get the ball in the paint, you're usually going to get pretty good shots.

It's something I try to keep up with, to make sure I'm finding lanes to throw, ... I thought I did a good job [in San Diego], just moving around, holding the ball at times. I didn't have to move a whole lot . I thought I got the ball out quick when there was pressure. I just have to continue to get better.

It was a good start, but we need to be quicker to the ball and be more active on the court. Our passing and setting were good, but our hitters need to move their arms through the ball faster to develop a higher-velocity attack.

LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. They get a lot of deflections and play the passing lanes. Teams tend to throw (ball) away because it looks like the passing lanes are open.

If our forward line can put a lot of pressure on Sydney's backs trying to run the ball out, make them turn the ball over and not carry the ball so far and put pressure on them when they try to deliver the ball, then it's our job to get to the fall of the ball and get it going our way again,

Defensively he's better. Passing, you know, he's been able to catch the ball in the post or attack the paint and find people. He's done a pretty good job of that. He's stronger with the ball when he gets it inside.

You've got to be really skilled with the ball, you've got to be sharp with your spacing, you've got to use your ball fakes, and that's something we're still working on. They made it interesting for us.

We have a balanced attack, and our scoring has been spread out. Justin has done a great job up front and fights hard for every ball.
